Check Axle Nuts

Axle nuts should hold the wheels securely while still allowing them to spin freely. Avoid leaving a wheel so loose that it can move noticeably side to side. Check axle nuts periodically, especially after changing wheels, and replace damaged or worn hardware when needed.

Rotate and Inspect Wheels

Wheels can wear unevenly depending on your skating style. Inspect them for wear and rotate them when appropriate. If you see uneven wear or coning, rotating positions can help extend useful wheel life. I tend to wear down my inside right wheels faster.
